Shipping
>> What are my SHIPPING options?
We ship from Northern California via USPS. We can’t be held responsible for delays due to undeliverable packages or carrier issues. If there is a delay, rest assured we will work with you to figure out what’s going on. The following information is provided as a guideline and is for shipping time only, not production.
United States Postal Service (please note that USPS is experiencing delivery delays)
First Class Mail: 2-8 day delivery to most U.S. locations
Priority Mail: 2-5 day delivery to most U.S. locations
Express Mail: 1-3 day delivery [where available]
We also show a few UPS options at checkout. Contact us with your zip code and we can help estimate the delivery time.
>> How will I know my order has shipped?
You will receive an email with tracking information when your order ships. Please note that some international orders are not trackable once they leave the United States.
>> Free Standard Shipping on orders over $75
When you spend $75 or more, you automatically earn free standard shipping. If you upgrade to Priority or Express Mail, the discount won't show in your cart, but when your order comes in we'll adjust your shipping total to reflect a discount equal to standard shipping.

Production and Delivery Time
>> How long will it take to get my order?
Your Punky Jane Jewelry is made to order, by hand, after payment is received. Please allow 2-3 weeks for production of your piece plus shipping time. If you need your creation more quickly, don't hesitate to let us know in the special instructions box or contact us before ordering and we'll do our best!
For quick gifts, we have a section of Ready to Ship designs that generally ship out in 2 business days when ordered as shown.
>> Can you put a RUSH on my order?
YES! We are happy to rush your order!
If you need your order more quickly than our normal production time allows (generally 2-3 weeks), please contact us at orders@PunkyJane.com before ordering. We offer Priority Mail, Express Mail, and Federal Express options for shipping.
>> My credit card has already been charged. Why haven't I received my order?
Due to the highly personalized nature of our work, we do require full payment before we start an order, not just a hold on a credit card. With a production time of 2-3 weeks, orders often ship before a customer's statement arrives, but not always. Companies that sell items that can easily be restocked are able to charge a customer's card when the item is shipped. We need to be sure we've collected payment and it's cleared before creating, not just before shipping.
>> Oh no! I need to make a CHANGE to my order. What can I do?
When you place your order with Punky Jane, you will receive an automated confirmation email. Please check your bulk or spam folder if you don't receive one. Review your order details carefully, and contact us immediately at orders@PunkyJane.com with any corrections. Of course, we can't be held responsible for errors submitted with your order. After 48 hours from time of your order, we may have already started your piece and therefore there may be a charge to make changes. Charges will only cover our cost for materials. And if we haven't started your order, no worries.

Do you ship internationally?
Due to the ever-changing rules regarding VAT, GST etc., shipping internationally has become very complex for small business. Punky Jane has made the difficult decision to sell only to customers in the United States via our website.
If you'd like to purchase, and you're NOT LOCATED in the United States, please shop Punky Jane on Etsy. Etsy (the marketplace) will collect, file and pay all VAT/GST taxes. While we don't have as many items listed on Etsy, we can make anything you see here and just process the sale though Etsy. We can set up a custom listing and send you the link directly to you. Feel free to contact us with any questions.

Jewelry Care and Terminology
>> How is Punky Jane made?
Punky Jane Jewelry is hand stamped, not engraved. That means that for each character, a steel stamp is placed and struck with a heavy hammer. It's normal to see some variation in letter placement.
After stamping, many pieces are oxidized (or blackened) and then finished with either a polished or a hand brushed finish. No two pieces will ever be the same...truly one of a kind!
We only work with high-quality materials. We cut our pieces from U.S.-made sterling sheet that is either reclaimed (recycled) or third-party certified to be ethically mined. All of our chains, clasps, and other components are U.S.A. made, with the exception of a couple of small components that are not available from U.S. suppliers.
Some designs are created by creating custom stamps and making impressions in fine silver precious metal clay.
>> How should I take care of my Punky Jane Jewelry?
Your Punky Jane Jewelry is made with sterling silver (.925), fine silver (.999), or double clad gold-filled sheet. A few simple tips to keep your silver jewelry looking it’s best:
- Don’t wear your jewelry in water, or allow it to be exposed to chemicals...they will damage the finish and oxidation. Even perfumes, lotions and sprays can damage the finish.
- Don't hang your jewelry in or near the bathroom, or any other damp area. This will dramatically speed oxidation.
- Don’t use dip-style cleaners...they will remove the oxidation you want to keep (blackening of the letters). It's best to use a soft cloth made especially for jewelry polishing (like a Sunshine Polishing Cloth), and polish very gently.
- After your jewelry is clean, you can store it in a zip closure bag if you won't be wearing if for awhile. If you bag a dirty piece, the oxidation will move very quickly.
- If your piece has a brushed finish, the finish will lighten a bit with normal wear and the polishing cloth will speed that up.
- If the oxidation gets a little lighter, it will darken again over time through the natural oxidation process.
Remember, the best way to keep your jewelry from tarnishing is to wear it! Please note that it’s normal for silver jewelry to show gentle wear.
>> What's the difference between Gold Filled and Gold Plated?
Gold Filled vs. Gold Plated: Our gold filled discs are made from high quality 14k/20k double clad sheet with a gold layer on both sides.
Gold Filled: Also known as "rolled gold" or "rolled gold plate", gold filled is composed of a solid layer of gold bonded with heat and pressure to a base metal such as brass. Some high quality gold-filled pieces have the same appearance as 14 karat (58%) gold. In the USA the quality of gold filled is defined by the Federal Trade Commission. If the gold layer is 10 kt fineness the minimum layer of karat gold in an item stamped GF must equal at least 1/10 the weight of the total item. If the gold layer is 12 kt or higher the minimum layer of karat gold in an item stamped GF must equal at least 1/20 the weight of the total item.
VS.
Gold Plated: Gold plating is a method of depositing a thin layer of gold onto the surface of another metal, most often copper or silver (to make silver-gilt), by chemical or electrochemical plating.
Message about "awaiting payment" after placing order
After you checkout, you may see a somewhat confusing message about your payment:
"Your order was sent to us but is currently awaiting payment. Once we receive the payment for your order, it will be completed. If you've already provided payment details then we will process your order manually and send you an email when it's completed."
Please disregard this message. It's coded into our site by our ecommerce platform and we are unable to edit it. We have received your order and payment, and simply need to finalize it on our end. You don't need to do anything, and we'll reach out if there are any problems.
I have two coupon codes, but I can only enter one
Due to a limitation of our storefront platform, there's only space to enter one coupon code at checkout. But don't worry...we've got a solution! If you have two codes, enter one at checkout, then use the special instructions box to let us know you have a second code and what it is. When your order comes in, we'll manually adjust your order to reflect the second discount. This will allow you to use your PJ*Rewards Points and another special discount code for a birthday, PJ*Insider sale, etc.
